The Pilgrimage

Dispatches from
the field

A small ledger of wine explorers receiving bottles and letters from journeys through the world's wine regions. One pilgrimage at a time.

What is this

The Pilgrimage is not a wine club.

It's a ledger — a curated group of people who receive bottles directly from my travels. Each release is tied to a specific journey, a specific winemaker, a specific find that I believed was worth bringing back.

There is a waiting list. New members are drawn periodically — the longer you've waited, the more likely you are to be selected. There is no other way in.

From the field

“Deep in the Cape, I found five neutral oak barrels of 2025 Cinsault. These aren't just old vines — they're heritage vines, planted in 1974, surviving half a century of icy Atlantic winds.”
